With the Hastings District Council discussing the merits of purchasing the Haupori Flats at Ocean Beach one wonders if this is an election stunt.The cost of such a purchase would be significant and on top of all the other projects this Council has up its sleeve, one wonders how much can the average ratepayer take.There seems to be an extraordinary amount going on behind closed doors at present.Lets see what develops on this one.
