Smoke Gets Up your Nose
One of the most controversial issues the Regional Council will have to deal with is the so-called pollution from wood burners. For the sake of three days a year naughty Hawkes Bay people with wood burners are expected to undergo a massive transition from wood to what.Estimated cost $34m!
Long time Council attendee Mr Philip Ward has a point when he alludes to the pollution from pine tree pollen we see deposited on everything in spring.All the neighbours are sneezing and wheezing ,so what can be done about it……nothing.This pollen must be responsible for many deaths per annum .Remove all pine trees!
As with Christchurch residents there will be a big backlash over this one when ratepayers finally click to what is going on. And what about the wood merchants ?
