HB Today policy from here to the election is no letters to the editor from candidates.While Meerkat can understand the logic of the Ed ,does this approach best serve the ratepayers of HB? Does it mean favoured coverage for a few?
It also does not allow redress for candidates who may be targeted for one reason or another.
Grey Power is on the ball.They have already invited all candidates to a meeting next week at 2pm.Pity those who work but it doesn’t matter .They have an hour for the candidates to speak so that will be about three minutes each.
It would be good to know the local issues that concern greypower .
Meerkat is sure that Barbara Arnott had already announced her intention to stand as Mayor for a third term.There was a lovely photo of so called prominent people asking her to reconsider the earlier call that two terms were enough.
Robyn Gwynne leaves us all confused with his standing for Napier at large or is it for a ward or has he moved to the hill.? He has called for new blood on the Napier Council at a time when they have been almost under the radar.Who does he want to replace? Meerkat thinks that it would be good to see a discussion between Robyn and Bill Dalton .Is that who he is referring to?
