Change from Farm Forestry

In a surprise move Patoka farmer Mike Halliday has been nominated  for the Napier seat on the Regional Council. Mike has a strong background in farm forestry winning awards and being a trailblazer in the early days of this type of diversification in farming.

Mike is well known in farming quarters but will have a job to make an impression on the Napier seat.He calls a spade a spade, is a good thinker and would be a straight talker around the Council table.Napier people would do well to peruse this newcomer and invite him in.

Odiles’ the Deal

Odile Balas,  who stood for the Napier regional council seat last election,is once again entering the fray. Coming from France with a stint in Australia , Odile has found Hawkes Bay to her liking and has been involved in a number of environmental issues and worked for a period at the Environment Centre in Hastings. Odiles passion for issues will see her make a lot of mileage this election.
