Advantage or Not?
Rumour has it that the local rag has changed its’ mind about regular column contributors who are in the running for council seats. Originally they were going to allow Bruce Bisset and Ewan McGregor to keep writing columns as long as they were not on council issues.Seems after further consideration they will be stopped as they allow for an advantage over other candidtaes because of profile alone. It has to be a fair call as there is also a ban on candidates writing letters to the editor.
The local radio station newstalk zb should also pull comments from candidates and councillors unless they are going to let all of them contribute.
Come to think of it, candidates have the opportunity to contribute on the web. Now how can that be?
