Ocean Beach Plan Change
Developers Hill Country Corporation have indicated a plan change for the Hastings District Plan that would see substantial development at Ocean Beach. A plan change had been talked about and yet HDC went through a so called consultation process about what Council thought should happen. Where are ratepayers now ? This costly exercise has had no impact on the developers furthering proposals and Hastings DC may decline the application .I doubt that would stop further action .It would be interesting to know what the majority of Hastings ratepayers are thinking about this whole exercise .Patience must be wearing thin .Surely this must become an election issue , not because of any development but because of the continuing effect on the ratepayers of the District
